The Route: What to Expect
After meeting your driver at Ercan Airport arrivals, you'll begin the journey east toward Famagusta. The first hour follows well-maintained highways through the Mesaoria Plain, passing ancient Salamis ruins and the walled city of Famagusta.
Beyond Famagusta, the landscape transforms. The road narrows and hugs the coastline, revealing hidden coves and fishing villages. You'll pass through Bogaz (famous for fresh fish restaurants), Kumyalı, and eventually reach the wild Karpaz region where development ends and nature begins.
The final stretch takes you through olive groves and carob trees to Golden Beach (Nangomi), one of the Mediterranean's last pristine beaches. If you're heading to Apostolos Andreas Monastery at the very tip, the road becomes more remote—but the views are unforgettable.
